Don’t really post on the movie side but here are my predictions in order of most-least confident:

    1. Best Director: Chloe Zhao
    2. Best Animated Feature: Soul
    3. Best Supporting Actor: Daniel Kaluuya
    4. Best Sound: Sound of Metal
    5. Best Cinematography: Nomadland
    6. Best International Film: Another Round
    7. Best Picture: Nomadland
    8. Best Score: Soul
    9. Best Supporting Actress: Yuh-Jung Youn
    10. Best Production Design: Mank
    11. Best Original Screenplay: Promising Young Woman
    12. Best Costume Design: Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom
    13. Best Makeup and Hairstyling: Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom
    14. Best Documentary Feature: My Octopus Teacher
    15. Best Visual Effects: Tenet
    16. Best Adapted Screenplay: The Father
    17. Best Film Editing: Sound of Metal
    18. Best Song: Husavik
    19. Best Actress: Viola Davis
    20. Best Actor: Anthony Hopkins

I just went with whatever was #1 in the odds for the remaining 3. I also really hope Carey manages to pull off the win!

How confident are you overall? This question also goes out to everyone else

    Emmy FYC:

Chloë Sevigny in “The Girl From Plainville” and “Russian Doll”

1-10: really confident (I think everyone agrees on those ones)
    11-15: moderately confident
16-17: both categories are toss-ups but the sound trend in editing seems quite strong and the father has gotten a huge momentum surge recently
18: not sure about this one. I can make a case for all nominees except Hear My Voice. I think Husavik being the only song not featured in the credits and the story behind it will let it win
19: I’m as clueless as everyone else is for this one lol
20: Huge gamble that will likely backfire

I changed to The Father and changed it again last minute for Nomadland
Also Editing i have changed between Trial and Sound of Metal all week long lol.

I think I’m sticking with Trial.

Guys, tell me one reason to stay with Husavik and not make a last-minute change with Speak Now. Because is the only one actually used in the movie is not acceptable. That’s the reason why I’m predicting it, and I feel like it’s not enough.

Netflix made a HUGE campaign for this song, and some ballots says that reason you’ll quote it is why it’ll be their vote.

It’s my second, I’m not bold enough to predict it, I’m staying with the safe choice.

Leslie Odom Jr is campaigning his ass off performing at all these different awards shows, his film is the one with the most nominations in contention unless you think H.E.R. Has a shot (I honestly don’t). Husavik is the sole nomination for Eurovision and Will Ferrell has a part in the song, which some may not like

Here’s a reason: on the Oscars ballot, it was supposedly the only song with an accompanying video. Also, I did see an anonymous ballot saying they were voting for it because it was the only song actually in the movie (versus over the credits).
