In hind sight, it is weird that after giving us Silence of The Lamb and The Father, Hopkins still didn’t win a competitive Golden Globe and SAG for the Father. But at least both Dr. Hannibal Lecter and Clarice Starling gets two Lead Oscar.

Hopkins is a very well deserved winner
I think he broke the record for oldest winner ever right?
Or is it Christopher Plummer still?

    For Your Emmy Consideration:
Matthew Rhys for "Perry Mason" | Ethan Hawke for "The Good Lord Bird", THE GOOD LORD BIRD in ALL CATEGORIES | Elizabeth Olsen and Kathryn Hahn for "Wandavision" | Tobias Menzies for "The Crown" | MJ Rodriguez for "Pose" | Jane Levy for "Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist"

I’m pretty sure Boseman wasn’t even #3 in the votes.

    He broke Henry Fonda´s record

    I meant in all categories
Fonda was 77, Plummer was 82 when he won Supporting actor and Hopkins is 83.
    I think he broke it

He is now the oldest acting winner ever.

James Ivory is the oldest for any category. Ann Roth won tonight and is just a few months short of Ivory’s record overall.

I’m thrilled for Anthony Hopkins – the best acting performance this century, extremely well-deserved winner.
