November 25, 2020 at 3:08 pm #1203873325So help me out here to sort things out who belongs in the comedy/ musical and drama for the Golden Globes.
Comedy/ musical:
Sasha Baron Cohen – Borat
Andy Sandberg – Palm SpringsDrama:
Riz Ahmed – Sound of Metal
Colin Firth – Supernova
Tahar Rahim – The Mauritanian
Steven Yeun – Minari
Gary Oldman – Mank
Anthony Hopkins – The Father
Delroy Lindo – Da 5 Bloods
Chadwick Boseman – Ma Rainye’s Black Bottom
Ben Affleck – The Way Back
Jesse Plemons – Im Thinking of Ending ThingsNovember 27, 2020 at 1:11 am #1203877006Mike Mills’ C’mon C’mon starring Joaquin Phoenix may debut at Sundance. I think if it’s any good, and especially if Kaluuya is supporting, he may get that 5th slot.

I’m not sure how much I should be considering Holland but I have him in until I’m sure for those nice 100/1 odds. I do think he’s a likeable actor so if he gets the performance he won’t struggle to get in, whether Cherry is that or not remains to be seen.

His roles is kinda the blend of Andrew Garfield role in Hackshaw Ridge and Tobey Maguire in Brothers. Sounds like a legitimate oscar bait

Nah, that was just Indiewire’s guessing.
It has a more likely chance of coming out in late 2021.November 27, 2020 at 12:33 pm #1203877856He’s literally playing a drummer who is going deaf how is that not showy at all?
Adir is playing Malcolm X how is that not showy at all? I can do that too. Its funny when talking to the obvious stans on the board here. lol Once you see the movie, you’ll understand.

Its funny when talking to people who accuses literally anyone who disagrees with them of being a stan or an SJW

Tom Burke is playing Orson Welles yet no one is considering him to be nominated for S. Actor. Just because you’re playing a famous person it doesn’t mean you’re role is showy or you automatically get nominated.

I don’t think that’s gonna happen, the best chances are in 2022 if the movie is good
