Yeah, he is campaigning his ass off, he was never recognized as an actor and he got great reviews for this bore of a movie.
I’m starting to overthink things now, somebody help me.

    Gary Oldman come back.

Nevertheless a boring white savior movie about a sports teacher putting marginalized kids in the right path

It’s Sandra Bullock all over again.

You know I honestly laughed when he got snubbed for directing that mediocrity that was Argo. The fact BAFTA nominated his mediocre performance eww.

FYC OSCARS : PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN IN ALL CATEGORIES (ESP. ACTRESS – Carey Mulligan AND ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY — EMERALD FENNELL), VANESSA KIRBY FOR "PIECES OF A WOMAN", ESSIE DAVIS FOR "BABYTEETH"

The Blind Side was a far more popular movie, Bullock is far more popular as an actor, and she benefited from a much weaker field.

I know I know, I’m just talking about the performance itself

I quite like Argo, I Know it’s an unpopular opinion.
But The Way Back is just trash.

He only has a shot at SAG and even if it happens we will still get the same lineup (Ahmed, Boseman, Hopkins, Lindo, Oldman) at the other awards.

Also the culture in 2010 and the culture in 2021 are two very different coins. If they weren’t then Elle Fanning would be getting nominated for A Rainy Day in New York over Carey Mulligan.

<p style=”text-align: left;”>Whilst I think Ben-Adir is likelier than Youn on the basis that he’s playing Malcolm X it wouldn’t surprise me if Youn got in like Yalitza Aparicio if A24 got their campaign right. He seems to be doing a lot of campaigning and attending almost all the FYC events for Minari the picture.</p>

Am I too late to join the let’s drag Affleck dynamic? He makes me want to vomit.

By the way, I was just checking some pictures of Ben-Adir and he’s so fine. Like I’ll have him with strawberries and everything .

Argo is garbage. Worst BP winner of the decade.

It’s also perhaps one of the most racist films to ever win Best Picture.
