<p style=”text-align: left;”>Whilst I think Ben-Adir is likelier than Youn on the basis that he’s playing Malcolm X it wouldn’t surprise me if Youn got in like Yalitza Aparicio if A24 got their campaign right. He seems to be doing a lot of campaigning and attending almost all the FYC events for Minari the picture.</p>
I hope I don’t come off as pedantic or rude in any way, but I think you mean to say Steven Yeun. Youn is the surname of his co-star, Youn Yuh-jung, however.
January 17, 2021 at 12:38 am #1203987579Argo is garbage. Worst BP winner of the decade.
Argo only won Best Picture because the Academy felt bad for snubbing Affleck. It should have never won best picture
January 17, 2021 at 12:51 am #1203987596It’s a shame Kingsley Ben-Adir isn’t really in the running anymore. If we’re to have a historical figure nominee this year, Ben-Adir >>>>> Oldman.

Since we’re on the topic of pre-pandemic performances. Universal, sweeties. Get Jon Hamm to host a Q&A with Elisabeth Moss. The press and GP will explode.

Just finished One Night in Miami
Kingsley Ben-Adir is probably my top 3 of this category, DAMN, that man acted the hell of that role.January 17, 2021 at 2:23 am #1203987650Argo only won Best Picture because the Academy felt bad for snubbing Affleck. It should have never won best picture
Argo won GG, Oscars, and BAFTA. I don’t think snubbing Ben is the reason why it won. It’s just that Argo is a safe choice for them.
Coen-Lynch-Fellini
FYC: Soul & Judas and the Black MessiahJanuary 17, 2021 at 2:28 am #1203987659Ben Affleck would however be the first actor to be nominated for playing a bad, unflattering parody of himself, wouldn’t he? Let’s hope that doesn’t happen, like, anywhere.
FYC:
Lead Actor: Mads Mikkelsen (Another Round)
Supporting Actress: Maria Bakalova (Borat Subsequent Moviefilm)

I wish it was only mediocrity. He’s plain bad and bloated.
There is something so unpleasant about him that no one will convince me that he isn’t actually Nick Dunne. And we just know he was one of the biggest W**ns**in enablers.
