Enough with this nonsense.
Stanfield is not getting in.1. Boseman
2. Hopkins
3. Ahmed
4. Lindo
5. OldmanJanuary 18, 2021 at 6:55 pm #1203990539That’s not happening either but you and David Holmes keep on hoping. Doubt he’s even 7th in line.
He’s at least 6th for being in a Best Picture contender. Remember what I said before about 4/5 Best Actor nominees almost always being from Best Picture contenders. Lindo and Ahmed are the only non-BP contenders who could be nominated.
I’m predicting him. I dont think he will hit any precursors and show up on oscar morning.
Thank you. I think you’re right that he’ll miss the Globes and SAG but I actually am predicting him for CC and BAFTA, since they have an extra spot.

Best Screenplay: Judas and the Black MessiahJanuary 18, 2021 at 7:18 pm #1203990550Lakeith is a phenomenal actor and has been getting great reviews along with Daniel. The movie is also up for Best Picture so saying he has no chance is a stretch.
January 18, 2021 at 8:21 pm #1203990586I feel like Judas has a much better shot at a BP nom than The Father, if we’re getting into a discussion about the trend re: 4/5 nominees coming from BP films.
FYC: Michaela Coel and Rosamund Pike
January 18, 2021 at 9:17 pm #1203990609I know he has like 1% of a chance, but i will be rooting for Kingsley Ben-Adir to the end. (For the nomination obv, since the winner is pretty much sealed).
January 19, 2021 at 12:15 am #1203990735Yes sweetie, and what about it.

January 19, 2021 at 9:50 am #1203991351I saw online that the leaders in the critics awards rn are Delroy Lindo, Frances, Youn Yuh-Jung, and Paul Raci. Considering that usually at least one of the critics pic’s wins, and by process of elimination I don’t think Raci, Youn Yuh-Jung (too small), or Frances (just won too recently) are winning, does that help Lindo? Probably just wishful thinking because he’s my personal pick rn, but maybe? Maybe he wins lead and Chadwick takes supporting?

Glenn Closed and Pete Davidson? WTF
Most of the others make sense though

I’ve been thinking about that. Right now it doesn’t seem likely that any of those 4 will win, but maybe we’re underestimating Frances?
It’s a shame Kaluuya’s movie didn’t come out sooner because he would have swept the critic awards like he’s going to sweep the televised.
