I saw The Father and thought Sir Anthony’s performance was wonderful which is one of the reasons why I think he will win GG instead of Chadwick. Chadwick could probably win elsewhere, also think Sir Anthony could win BAFTA too

What do you think of his and Boseman’s performance personally?

I thought he gave a good performance. He’s not in my Top 5 but I’d still be fine with him getting nominated. Winning though…he shouldn’t even be in the conversation.

Boseman is sweeping the entire season. His performance in Ma Rainey’s was undeniable.

Hopkins was great but he’ll have to settle for another nomination.

The only upset that could occur is if Ahmed wins Lead & Boseman takes Supporting for D5B. But that ain’t happening. Chadwick is winning where he deserves.

    Critics do NOT = industry.

And the gag is CCA may very well award Boseman to mirror the Academy. 😉 Oops!

But hasn’t won more than Riz. 😉

But yeah, Boseman is sweeping unless someone else upsets at the GG or BAFTA.

And this is tragic. Ahmed should win CC in a walk but they are pathetic sheep who want to predict the Oscars.

Rami Malek was playing Freddie Mercury. Renee Zellweger played Judy Garland. Sandra Bullock was in a smash hit at the box office and was also playing a real person. Green Book grossed over 300 million worldwide.

Critics don’t vote for the Oscars that’s true but people need to stop saying “so and so will win because who cares about critics and their conspiracies?” and start looking at context.

FYC OSCARS : PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN IN ALL CATEGORIES (ESP. ACTRESS – Carey Mulligan AND ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY — EMERALD FENNELL), VANESSA KIRBY FOR "PIECES OF A WOMAN", ESSIE DAVIS FOR "BABYTEETH"
