I know this is about Amy Adams but another recent example of this kind of snub is Timothee Chalamet, who missed after hitting the big four in Beautiful Boy – granted, the movie was not good, but never discount the possibility of something unusual happening. There are exceptions to every Oscars rule.

Chalamet was a sole nomination from his movie and his movie had zero chances of getting into BP Oscar noms. So him missing was not unusual. That’s clearly not the situation with Oldman and his movie.

Just watched The Mauritanian. Tahar Rahim gave an Oscar calibre performance. I thought he deserves the 5th spot. I wouldn’t be surprised if ever he sneak in.

If you think Clayton Davis is bad, take a look at Feinberg’s predictions. He has Ben Affleck in Best Actor and Sophia Loren instead of Andra Day.
