Not the inauguration performance being “hard” Oscar campaigning, Lil Tony PLS

Andra probably won’t even get much media attention from this since Gaga, Jlo, Demi etc are all performing as well 💀

I have nothing against the woman personally but I am tired of hearing about Andra Day on these forums.

I don’t care what people say about her, Andra Day is the best thing that ever happened to these forums. We spent months waiting for anything. Then we got a few stills, which prompted some people to call her a lock. Then, crickets for another two months. Then, the avalanche: the movie was acquired by Hulu, the trailer kept not coming, but when it rains, it pours, so, bam, we got the trailer and reactions within the same hour. And then? Well, crickets again. What a trajectory.

Focus is behind mulligan and promising young woman i don’t think is the academy taste but with enough campaigning  and she picks up the bafta and something else and on nomination morning Pym lands a picture nom she could win.

If she picks up a bafta plus another award come Oscar nom day and Pym just gets screenplay and actress she has no chance at winning (unless she sweeps)

That’s how i see it without a full sweep forcing certain members of the academy to give her a vote or no best picture nom its impossible she wins woman don’t win Oscars for roles like that.

Truly, the Andra Day hype train has been the most intense rollercoaster of the season. And just like an RT Game rollercoaster, it ended up crashing and burning.

The way this thread turned into chaos because of her, even though she’s not even a big celebrity in the first place

I never have understood the people that go all in on a performance that hasn’t been seen and they defended tooth or nail without any seen it.
