From Burn After Reading/ Raising Arizona/Fargo to Mississippi Burning/3 billboards/Nomadland…….

I am too blind to see these roles as same things, or you’re just disliking her.

You’re not blind, it’s just wrong on any level.

    FYC:

Lead Actor: Mads Mikkelsen (Another Round)

Supporting Actress: Maria Bakalova (Borat Subsequent Moviefilm)

Supporting Actor: Paul Raci (Sound of Metal)

Edgar Pereira wrote: WHO SHOULD WIN: Vanessa Kirby, “Pieces of a Woman”  The way you spilled! Can’t wait for the meltdowns on here when she snatches that Globe and the race is over.

As a fan of Kirby and her performance I command you to stop.

At this point I feel like we have a clear top 6 (in alphabetical order) of Davis, Kirby, Loren, McDormand, Mulligan and Streep.

I don’t underestimate Davis. Anything I have seen her in I have greatly enjoyed. But this year I would like to see the big little gold man go to Kirby. I fell for her as a princess, with Margaret being a difficult role. And the affection has grown. Shia and Ellen created a dream ensemble that I didn’t even know I wanted!
I would also love to see Pfeiffer take home a statue for French Exit. She has been grossly overlooked throughout her entire career. But I think her winning is a stretch.

McDormand does remind me of Katharine Hepburn in a way. She’s getting her 3rd!

Another one who didn’t deserve at least two of her wins. Anne Bancroft was robbed.

And McDormand reminds of me of McDormand, thats all she can do. I was on her team in 2017 because it was cute and it had been 10 years (and she was good) but this needs to stop now. There are plenty of people out there who need their first wins and rewarding actors with limited capabilities again doesn’t make sense.

Jeez who’s gonna land in that GG 5th spot?

I currently have Sidney Flanigan because only once since 1999 has a winner at the Boston Society of Film Critics missed a Globe nomination.

Frances McDormand doesn’t deserve 3 Oscars. She’s a limited actress. Doesn’t transform into anything but herself.

I think fifth spot is really between Loren and Meryl. Meryl is coming in the televised awards
