I just saw Minari. I wouldn’t nominate neither Han nor Yeun. All they do is have an argument early in the film, but other than that, they’re just…there. In fact, Han had so little to do that her role felt supporting. Amy Adams played a friggin drug addict in HE but somehow she can be expected to get passed up for Han?????

I said that looooong ago but this forum wont accept it. Minari is positioned well and is defintely a threat at SAG but dont see them passing close.

Because BAFTA is so close to the Oscars, does it even matter who makes it into the top 6 for them?

BAFTA nominations are announced right in the middle of Oscar nomination voting. The overlap of members can help us see what the Brits are leaning towards.

And so many of BAFTA members also vote for the Oscars

It’s a shame that Michelle Pfeiffer didn’t take off, the movie is weird and hilarious. She’s absolutely perfect. Shame she will lose the Globe.

Thatcher, we need you to fix the healthcare system, because some people are not well here.

Darling, definitely. I will have to create the Public Healthcare System for the GoldDerby kingdom because the private system clearly doesn’t give good results.

Darlings, I wonder if Robber Pike can actually snatch that Comedy Globe… it would be so refreshing and it’s necessary at this point.

Her movie has become one of the biggest streaming hits of the year, so it wouldn’t surprise me if she landed further. Bakalova would also be an inspiring and tasteful choice so I don’t mind.

    FYC:

    Vitalina Varela, Vitalina Varela (Actress)
Andrea Riseborough, Karim Saleh, Possessor/Luxor (Actress, Actor)
Rosamund Pike, Peter Dinklage, I Care a Lot (Actress, Supporting Actor)
Jim Broadbent, Helen Mirren, The Duke (Actor, Supporting Actress)
Sophia Loren, Abril Zamora, The Life Ahead (Actress, Supporting Actress)
Carey Mulligan, Promising Young Woman (Actress)

Well you can’t actually know how many people have seen I Care A Lot.

I have trying to choose my fifth slot for a while and I’ve gone from Loren to Flanagan to Day to Han but none of them have felt like the right choice.

I just have this very weird feeling that perhaps Rosamund Pike could somehow pull it off and get the slot.

And if she pulls off the win for the Globe today, I will definitely stick with it (even if it didn’t help Awkwafina).

Andra Day is campaigning her ass off but the movie doesn’t help.
I’m predicting her but with a huge doubt.

    For Your Emmy Consideration:
Matthew Rhys for "Perry Mason" as Leading Actor in a Drama Series
Ethan Hawke for "The Good Lord Bird" as Leading Actor in a Limited Series
Elizabeth Olsen and Kathryn Hahn for "Wandavision" as Leading and Supporting actress in Limited Series
Tobias Menzies for "The Crown" as Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.
MJ Rodriguez for "Pose" as Leading Actress in a Drama Series.
