Why are people Insinuating that is only Frances or Carey that will win BAFTA, is it because of Bafta’s tendency to reward white actresses and overlook people of colour? I for one think if Alfre Woodard gets nominated then she will win there, her performance is still better than anything in contention. If her film had been released this year and with actual campaigning she would have swept the season
Um, yes that is a great reason why many believe Frances or Carey will win BAFTA. Don’t blame us. Blame the organization.
Woodard is miles ahead of every potential nominee this year and I hope she gets nominated, but I have serious doubts.

Even if Alfre Woodward gets nominated for the BAFTAs (and she should be), her chances of winning there are close to none. Clemency is a very small movie, not to mention, she was probably one of the Actresses ‘rescued’ by the Jury.
I’m wondering what would happen if Frances and Carey loses the BAFTA?
It would be Andra vs Viola (assuming she wins SAG).
But if Viola wins the BAFTA then she’ll take the Oscar.

I’m still pulling for Viola to win BAFTA. She was pretty good and PLUS we do need HISTORY IN THE MAKING

Woodard was picked by the jury as one of the three people who rank between 12th and 17th in the popular vote who are “saved” by the jury.
