If CC has a tie for BA, we need to come together and have them cancelled.

Why again are people thinking the globes have any influence after what just happened to them?

Aren’t you the same person who said Promising Young Woman would get shut out because it didn’t win anything at the Globes lmao.

I smell a hypocrite.

For those who have been saying Promising Young Woman will “get the Gone Girl treatment”.

AACTA winners for Best Film:

2019: Parasite
2018: Roma
2017: Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri
2016: La La Land
2015: Mad Max : Fury Road
2014: Birdman
2013: Gravity
2012: Silver Linings Playboook
2011: The Artist

That being said Carey’s win isn’t exactly great for her. AACTA has had a very mixed set of winners in this category:

2019: Saoirse Ronan
2018: Olivia Colman
2017: Margot Robbie
2016: Emma Stone
2015: Cate Blanchett
2014: Julianne Moore
2013: Cate Blanchett
2012: Jennifer Lawrence
2011: Meryl Streep

FYC Emmys: "The Crown" in all categories, "I May Destroy You" in all categories, "It's a Sin" in all categories, "Small Axe" in all categories, Billie Piper ("I Hate Suzie"), Yvonne Strahovski ("Stateless") and Ruth Wilson ("His Dark Materials")

They did give it to 6/10 of the past winners, so not too bad. Can’t wait for the haters to melt down when PYW gets Picture nominated

Yeah their Actress record would be accurate (6 of the winners won the Oscar and 2 simply won because they gave the buzziest performance by an Australian in an Oscar contender that year) although the fact Saoirse Ronan won last year doesn’t help Carey.

PYW Best Film AACTA??? I didn’t think it was the Best Film but ok. Only thing good was Carey Mulligan’s performance.

Hun, the only ones that didn’t win Oscars were Margot Robbie (Aussie) and Saoirse Ronan.

If you ask me that’s an AMAZING record in a short history.

AACTA knows what they’re doing giving the Best Film their Best Film award two years in a row. Promising Young Woman and Parasite for the win!
