Amy Adams is going to win SAG.

    That’s really a stretch.

Adams wins SAG and Bukray wins BAFTA ad we’re still clueless.

    Here for it.

That probably works in Day’s favour then, like the rewarding of Blunt at SAG and Weisz at BAFTA seemed to indicate King’s eventual victory at the Oscars.

Hold on. There’s always a chance for everything. The difference with that case is that no one has an Oscar before, so that might not be a problem although if that happens, it will be a sign of something. We always know since the start that Mulligan is not that strong, so any losing award will reduce her chance one by one. Here I’m hoping she won’t lose SAG.

So after this mulligan vs davis board war, with frances considered a runner up and andra considered a darkhorse,  what would happen if kirby won it all? Would it be a huge explosion?

We need a shocker in a category. I want another Olivia Colman moment. I’d be behind that.

What about a Vanessa Kirby upset? She was really in Pieces of a Woman

    Viola? No
    Frances? No
    Day? Could win
    Mulligan? Should win

By the way; has there ever been a best actress winner with her nomination being the only nom from a movie?

If that happens then with that and Olivia Colman’s win two years ago, the other ladies of The Crown (Claire Foy, Helena Bonham Carter, Emma Corrin, Elizabeth Debicki, Lesley Manville and Imelda Staunton) need to book as many lead roles as they can immediately.

FYC Emmys: "The Crown" in all categories, "I May Destroy You" in all categories, "It's a Sin" in all categories, "Small Axe" in all categories, Billie Piper ("I Hate Suzie"), Yvonne Strahovski ("Stateless") and Ruth Wilson ("His Dark Materials")

Obviously, at this point, it means NOTHING in regard to who will win SAG or the Oscar, but I thought  it mildly interesting that with being named Best Actress yesterday by the Phoenix Critics Circle and today by the Austin Film Critics’ Association, according to the list compiled by the Next Best Picture website, Mulligan has now overtaken McDormand as the winner of the most Best Actress awards by film critics’ associations, 25 to 24.

(That and 60 cents will get her a quarter of a cup of coffee at Starbucks….)
