I have Day winning . Yes, pipe dream , but sticking with it. However, I will be fine with any of them winning. They all were great in their own way.

Absolutely. Even some of these secret Oscar voters said the support is so scattered; there is no clear favorite. We’ll all be biting our nails until this category is presented.
Shouldn’t it possible that will be a tie in this category again since Hepburn and Barbara in 1968?
Even if I weren’t a big fan of PYW I think I’d be rooting for Carey nonetheless.
She has zero Oscars, while Frances has two and Viola one (and both of them have excellent chances of getting another in the near future, maybe even next year).
She is a fantastic actress and has a great career, and this isn’t a “welcome to the club” nomination like in Vanessa’s and Andra’s case. She should have already won at least one Oscar.
She is the face of her movie, a true protagonist, an instant icon, in a timely, educational and relevant movie (a movie that would be helped in its visibility with a Best Actress Oscar).
I think this is an amazing category but I really, really couldn’t vote for anyone else.
