The SAG support is kind of an obvious indicator.

    That didn’t help dear Emily…

Jim Broadbent, Helen Mirren, The Duke (Actor, Supporting Actress)

Emily won after the noms came out and she wasn’t nominated at the Oscars so…

Wait are we praying for someone specific or are we doing it so we never gave such a long process ever again?

Even then, Emily only won SAG in the absence of Regina & it’s likely Regina would’ve taken it if nominated.

FYC EMMYS: THE CROWN IN ALL CATEGORIES (ESP. OLIVIA COLMAN - D. ACTRESS & HBC - D. SUPP. ACTRESS) & IT’S A SIN IN ALL CATEGORIES (ESP. LYDIA WEST - LIM. ACTRESS & KEELEY HAWES - LIM. SUPP. ACTRESS) & I MAY DESTROY YOU IN ALL CATEGORIES

You know they can’t handle their fully complex women. 2 nominations for “unlikable females”? AMPAS is not that progressive. It’s basically a triumph Carey got the nom.

They can’t cope with iconic winners; Pike, Huppert, Mulligan winning would have at least been memorable…

If Regina was so special why ignored by SAG?

Her movie was like the last to be submitted to SAG, they didn’t even saw it.
Same goes for Little Women last year

FYC Emmys: Get MJ Rodriguez that deserved WIN! And some votes for Elizabeth Olsen, Tobias Menzies and Matthew Rhys will be highly tasteful as well

Keeping everything crossed for a legendary Viola Davis win – but think (/fear) it will be a McDormand win (no offence to McDormand herself – I just don’t “gel” with Nomadland – it’s too American for me)

Is Ma Rainey, non BP nominee, really walking away with 4 Oscars?

This is what I keep coming back to and ultimately why I’m not predicting Viola. That said, I am playing Devil’s advocate because would give her the edge over at LEAST Day and Kirby, possibly McDormand too
