there has been rumors of her being undeniable after a test screening earlier this year.
i dont think she is happening because of the release date since she won’t have time to build buzz, unless the film goes to sundance, but I understand where the confidence in her is coming from.

being undeniable in a surreal comedy about a talking cat =/= being undeniable in a musical biopic
November 25, 2020 at 6:48 am #1203871382In Asia, India, middle east and Africa, a very small percentages of people watch movies. Among that small percentage, majority watch their own country’s films and very small percentage watch foreign cinema like Hollywood. From that small minority, the majority of them just watch big superhero movies and don’t care who is the star. The only actors who are widely known by their name even to casual hollywood watchers/general public are Leonardo Dicaprio, Julia Roberts, Robert Downey Jr (thanks to Iron Man), Tom Cruise and Will Smith. Don’t assume yourself. The world is bigger than America.
THIS…actually ALL OF THIS.
Honey you are trying to explain how the world works to a bunch of white people who think the world starts and ends with their opinions. Imagine, a bunch of Europeans telling you who is hot or not in the continents you mentioned. Zendaya is definitely not a star in the countries that you mention. She is barely a star here in America. If she had star power or any pull Disney would’ve picked her for the Little Mermaid.
But still having fame or not outside of America doesn’t matter to the Academy. Zendaya is getting in if she is strong, otherwise this whole argument is a moot point.
November 25, 2020 at 6:54 am #1203871413WE DON’T CARE.
November 25, 2020 at 6:56 am #1203871422She isn’t that famous in Central or Eastern Europe either. Again, Europe doesn’t mean just the western part.
November 25, 2020 at 7:04 am #1203871471Her not being globally famous doesn’t hurt her chances at the Oscars and in Hollywood where all actors from places y’all mention dream about being. So what y’all trying to prove.
November 25, 2020 at 7:06 am #1203871486For what? the disney girl? the girl who dresses pretty on instagram? or what? if i’m not wrong, her career really started in 2017 with MCU, isn’t it?
You go to any part of the world country and ask people if they know who Angelina Jolie is, they’ll say yes without being able to name a single movie she’s been in.

November 25, 2020 at 7:07 am #1203871498yes, most popular for delusional people who think social media is whole world and America is whole planet.
Wait so who do you think is more deserving of the title of “most popular young actress”? Zendaya is objectively the most famous of her peers.

November 25, 2020 at 7:19 am #1203871558Barely star in America…I mean if you live under a rock then I guess so. Also everything everywhere right now revolves around social media.
November 25, 2020 at 7:20 am #1203871566Hmmmm…i wonder if the new under-the-week account of a previously banned troll or that of a PR agent trying to keep their ‘talent’ afloat?
November 25, 2020 at 7:26 am #1203871586Acting bitter and pressed over Zendaya out of all people. It’s embarassing.
November 25, 2020 at 7:28 am #1203871592Still mad she beat out Linney at the Emmys (who was never winning anyway)?

India is literally the largest producer of films in the world and home to the second oldest film industry in the world. The Bollywood erasure!
I know you were referring to international films, but to say that people don’t watch movies in India is ridiculous.

On a separate note internationally Bollywood films are watched quite widely! There is literally a mainstream cinema chain here in the UK who reserve half of their schedule for Bollywood movies.
