November 30, 2020 at 9:39 am #1203884736I think First Cow is going make it to Screenplay. People were talking about that 1 movie that has no other nominations but gets Screenplay- I think that’s FC.

November 30, 2020 at 2:21 pm #1203885399I just did a quick Twitter search and every reaction I have seen so far was positive, albeit a bit hesitantly. What did I miss? Why do some comments here write off Greengrass, Zengel, Hanks and the film?
FYC:
Lead Actor: Mads Mikkelsen (Another Round)
Supporting Actress: Maria Bakalova (Borat Subsequent Moviefilm)
Supporting Actor: Paul Raci (Sound of Metal)
November 30, 2020 at 2:23 pm #1203885406According to the first reactions Tom Hanks was just ‘good’. I highly doubt that will translate into a nom.

I’ve had him in for a while. Ma Rainey could very well be the most nominated film this year especially if Mank under-performs.

November 30, 2020 at 2:34 pm #1203885430The majority of reviews, if not all, were actually positive.
It's about the chaotic editing in Moulin Rouge!
November 30, 2020 at 2:40 pm #1203885436Erik Anderson liked the movie but he doesn’t think either Hanks or Zengel are happening.
November 30, 2020 at 2:48 pm #1203885465News of the World first reactions seem positive, even if not so enthusiastic. I think it’s enough for 80% on RT and 70 on Metacritic at least.
November 30, 2020 at 2:48 pm #1203885471The reactions seem to be positive or at least favourable, but there is no overwhelming praise. I think the craft might be nomination worthy, but one should wait until the reviews are out before fully writing it off.
