Outside of Actress & possibly Screenplay, there’s no real indication that it’s a serious BP player. The nomination is its reward.

I still think Nomadland wins this but PYW is definitely the runner up if it takes Actress and Screenplay. Minari was snubbed in Editing and what else can it win besides Supporting Actress? And not even that is a lock.

and in theory if you don’t have a director nomination you need to win the PGA, I don’t know if it will work for trial to win the sag but not the pga

I think it’ll win neither SAG or PGA.

    SAG is going to Minari.

Agreed. I was predicting Ma Rainey but after its BP snub I think Minari will win. The only SAG winner without a BP nom was The Birdcage 24 years ago.

Also I think The Trial of the Chicago 7’s largely white cast winning in a group of majority black and asian ensembles and poc leads would look quite bad.

Minari getting 2 individual SAG nominations and its increased momentum through the televised helps me predict it.

Regina King can’t even play the race or sexism card here.

It was just an absolutely inferior movie compared to all the other choices.

Predicting Trial is going home empty handed

let them live with their delusions. Trial more likely to win 3 SAG awards than zero.

variety says PYW is second right now

He also said fincher was gonna get snubbed and nomadland was gonna lead nominations.
