    DGA didn’t snub McDonagh.

    Sorry meant Oscars 😁

I’ll still predict Chicago if and only if it wins PGA and SAG.

If Nomadland sweeps right up to the Oscars, then Hulu will have another bragging rights for winning Best Picture first before Netflix or any other streaming to do so.

It’s not a Hulu original. They’re only streaming it like HBO Max is streaming Warner Bros’ films. They won’t be winning anything, Searchlight will.

Videos of Alan S. Kim and Yuh-Jung Youn keep going viral everyday.

    Minari is second.

FYC Emmys: "The Crown" in all categories, "I May Destroy You" in all categories, "It's a Sin" in all categories, "Small Axe" in all categories, Billie Piper ("I Hate Suzie"), Yvonne Strahovski ("Stateless") and Ruth Wilson ("His Dark Materials")

    Minari is second.

It needs to get a DGA nom first.

    I think it will.

I don’t think the academy will nominate (let alone give awards to) all those streaming flops after learning about those tragic Golden Globes rating numbers. I’m expecting surprises on nomination morning.

I don’t think I’d go that far. It feels like Top 5 though.

So did GG when the 2 strongest contenders are in same category. It’s sort of a peculiar backlash…

I’ve been pointing this out for a while. That was one of the reasons why I was predicting Chicago 7 to win the Globe and, until now, the BAFTA award for Best Film. But Nomadland feels so unstoppable at this point that it’s probably going to break the curse and sweep the rest of the awards.

I can’t imagine there being a La La Land scenario where the film ends up with some kind of controversy or voters feel it’s being over-rewarded. It’s universally acclaimed and will likely only win 4 Oscars including Best Picture. At this point, with the most populist Best Picture contender Chicago 7 losing at the Globes, who love populust films and also Sorkin (as evidenced by him still winning Screenplay), and every other film way behind those two, I see no path to victory for anyone else.

Why Trial of The Chicago 7 in the first place though? Do we all make it happen like we used to make Once Upon A Time in Hollywood last year?

The box office doesn’t exist. No matter what they do, the Oscar ratings will tank too.
