Could MGM try to make Wayans happen at some capacity over Whitaker? Ted White and Aretha´s relationship seemed to be quite rocky.

Just watched Chicago 7, Langella and Rylance were my standouts for sure. I also think they are the most likely to end up getting the noms as well. Yahya was probably third for me and SBC was 4th.

Is there any confirmation SBC is going to be campaigned lead for TToC7? Redmayne was the lead (with the main arch) but SBC is the standout for me (in a supporting borderline leading part). Plus, with BORAT SUBSEQUENT MOVIEFILM I wonder if he will be campaigning for that one if the movie proves to be as good as the first one

It remains to be seen how well received he or the film is, but I feel like Wayans could be a Sandler type in that voters will hold his lesser achievements against him regardless of his notices.

I do not know if it is confirmed but the streets are saying Chadwick might go lead for MRBB, I think he can beat Hopkins.

That would be really stupid. He would easily win in Supporting. And no one can beat Hopkins.

    why?

The role is supposed to very juicy, and he’s a well respected veteran in a BP frontrunner. Mank is locked for at least 1 nomination in each Supporting category.

Wasn’t he just rejected by the Emmys when the whole forums had him #1?

The Emmys rejected everyone but the two mainstream celebrities from The Crown this year, so I wouldn’t read into that snub.

Chris himself said that Dance’s role is a strong showcase and he’ll be the supporting actor they really push for in the campaign.

I mean he literally played Tywin Lannister, he’s beyond mainstream.

Charles Dance is not more well known than Academy Award winner Olivia Colman and multi Academy Award nominee and former Tim Burton muse Helena Bonham Carter lol.

FYC OSCARS : VANESSA KIRBY FOR "PIECES OF A WOMAN", AMANDA SEYFRIED FOR "MANK", ANTHONY HOPKINS FOR "THE FATHER", CHADWICK BOSEMAN FOR "MA RAINEY'S BLACK BOTTOM", PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN (BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY).

He’s not a celebrity like HBC and Colman.

Playing a major role on Game of Thrones doesn’t mean someone’s a mainstream celebrity. Look at Michelle Fairley. She isn’t one, and she was front and center for arguably the series’ most famous scene.
