Glenn Close reminds me of Paul Newman. Nobody thought The Color of Money was particularly good or he was that great in it but it was like just give him one already especially in a year where no one else had a strong narrative.

It’s like that with Close. Nobody else has a strong due factor or is in an overwhelmingly out front film.

Just give it to Close and end the losing streak.

Color of Money got 2 acting noms at the Globes, and 2 acting noms & a writing nom at the Oscars, though.

Forgot about the screenplay nomination. Kind of undeserved imo. Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio was really good though and deserving of her nomination. She should have had a better career.

Idk what to feel if Glenn win an Oscar for Hillbily Elegy. Sure she is overdue, but her win will provide another material for Ben Stiller and co to make another Tropic Thunder to mock her Oscar win plus last year’s Joaquin Phoenix win

And who cares if Ben Stiller mock her? I´m sure Glenn isn´t going to lose the sleep, she will be happy with her Oscar

I am so ready for Glenn Close to win. But even if she doesn’t I’ll be very happy for whoever wins in this category, this is such a strong lineup.

Girl’s coming to make history. Winning an Oscar and Razzie in the same year for the same role. 😂💀

Glenn Close has made the Razzie shortlist.

If she’s nominated at both Oscar and Razzie, will it be the first time that that kind of thing happens?

She’s not bad though in HE, but Razzie has never been a quality factor, so just let they do what they’d like to do.
