heres how olivia colman can still win!

At this point the only actress in this category with GG+CC+SAG+BAFTA  is Bakalova.

Glenn Close is the Nicole Kidman in The Paperboy of this year.

FYC Emmys: "The Crown" in all categories, "I May Destroy You" in all categories, "It's a Sin" in all categories, "Small Axe" in all categories, Billie Piper ("I Hate Suzie"), Yvonne Strahovski ("Stateless") and Ruth Wilson ("His Dark Materials")

Foster snub doesn’t change anything. She would 100% have gotten in under the old system. She could still pull a Chistoph Waltz, which wouldn’t have been nominated under this new system.

I don’t think Foster has any chance of winning with only a Globe nomination. When was the last time that happened?

George Clooney I think? But he was nominated at every precursor and lost except for Globes.

Yeah, no SAG and BAFTA noms hurt her. Oh well. I’ll still be carrying a torch for her Oscar nom until the end.

Me too. I’d love to see her get nominated because she was my favorite supporting performance of last year but I guess voters don’t feel the same way.

Aww, you finally left your fantasy and stopped predicting Glenn Close for the win! Better late than never I guess.

Who would’ve thought 6 months ago that the only person to hit all CC/GG/SAG/BAFTA would be an unknown Bulgarian actress in a first role playing Borat’s daughter.

Emmys FYC | Alan Tudyk in “Resident Alien” | Billie Piper in “I Hate Suzie” | Ego Nwodim in “Saturday Night Live” | Kaley Cuoco in “Harley Quinn” | “Dickinson” | “P-Valley” | “Pose” | “Superstore”

    Marcia Gay Harden for Pollock

Harden wasn’t nominated for the Globes. She won with no precursors. That whole year was a mess and Kate Hudson should have been sweeping for Almost Famous.

Well I guess those “useless critics awards” aren’t that useless after all…

Chris Cooper, George Clooney. On the female side, Marcia Gay Harden didn’t have any of the important precursors nominations.

Christoph Waltz would also have been a Globe only under the new BAFTA system.

Jodie Foster is locked. She may have missed BAFTA with the jury but The Mauritanian got into Best Film there (a category voted on entirely by the general membership). If her film has that much British bloc support (a reminder that The Two Popes failed to break into this category last year) then it’s going to be a big upset if she’s snubbed.

Nah… There have been times where a lot of films overperformed at BAFTAs and then on nomination morning were barely mentioned.

    FYC:

    Best Actor:
Delroy Lindo - Da 5 Bloods

    Best Actress:
Sidney Flanigan - Never Rarely Sometimes Always
