Why is everyone dropping Zengel from their predictions? I don’t get it.

Probably because News of the World lost steam, but yeah, a child getting a SAG nominations is something big… we are underestimating her

I have Seyfried out, because i can’t find good reason she missed SAG. Wasn’t underseen or late-breaking. Wasn’t indie/small/foreign. Its tough to come up with precedent for her nomination. Like, Matt Damon for the Martian? He won Globe though. Octavia Spencer? But she was in BP winner. Anyone agreeing?

Just as idea. Maybe they didn’t like that she being 35 was playing real life woman much older than herself? Like female voters could have found it wrong or mean or sexist. When older people play younger people it’s passable, but when younger women play older women on screen many take offence.

They better not snub my girl Amanda tomorrow. Hands will be thrown if they do.

I’ll be hoping she gets in  till the end. After all, hoping is not harmful.

I think Olivia Colman will definitely get nominated. Besides her being a lock, anything can happen. Amanda Seyfried seems to be safest besides Colman. I think, Amanda’s chances are higher than Glenn Close at this point. I think Jodie Foster will get nominated.

Same here, I’m keeping her in, too. I’ve been keeping her in for months and I’m not thinking of dropping her out.

I’m stubborn and keeping Zengel in, maybe also because I adore her performance in NOTW and in System Crasher. So for now I have:

    – Maria Bakalova
    – Olivia Colman
    – Youn Yuh-jung
    – Jodie Foster
    – Helena Zengel

    2021 Award Season, FYC:

Best Actress: CAREY MULLIGAN for PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN
Best Actor: DELROY LINDO for DA 5 BLOODS
Best Supporting Actress: GLENN CLOSE for HILLBILLY ELEGY

I think it’s possible Seyfried could be the Rockwell in Vice of this year. Playing a baity role that is nominated at the Globes but is ignored at SAG and coattails off of his performance thanks to the role he plays in relation to the lead actor. But to be fair Rockwell had goodwill from his Oscar for 3 billboards and playing George Bush is a much baiter role than playing a Old Hollywood actress. He was also nominated at BAFTA…not looking good for Seyfried regardless I’m still keeping her in.
