I have Zengel in and am prepared to be wrong. My nominee predictions are Colman, Bakalova, Zengel, Yuh-Jung, and Seyfried, with Close and Foster right behind.

I just feel like Mank is going to overperform and Close just won’t have enough passion behind her, and Zengel is in kind of by default (though I wouldn’t be surprised to see any of these seven in any order tomorrow – this is the wildest category in years).

    Youn Yuh-jung (Minari)

    These are also mine.

I have to say that this list certainly looks better than last year’s lineup at least.

I’m surprised how low Zengel is in the predictions. (I want to put her in my number 5 but I don’t know who to take out bleggghhhh) Although I guess News hasn’t been doing so great in these awards. She’s been doing just fine though

Yea Zengel has the precursors to be nominated and being a child actor nominated at SAG and the Globes is pretty huge. But I think everyone is firm on their Seyfried, Close, or Fishback on the fifth slot.

I have a feeling she was just a filler nomination. Jodie Foster would’ve been nominated for SAG if The Mauritanian wasn’t a late contender.

But I think Zengel is the spoiler, not Seyfried or Fishback.

I’m gonna go ahead and predict Maria Bakalova gets snubbed by the academy due to genre bias and a mild case of category confusion. She’s the only one to hit all the precursors and I’m guessing they don’t want a comedic performance being a default frontrunner.

This is ultimately going to Yuh-Jung Youn and her historic win will be Minari‘s consolation prize.

Ok really there is no reason why Seyfried was snubbed at SAG. She is the Armie Hammer of the season. I’m taking her off my predictions </3 and have added Close.

    1. Colman

    2. Bakalova

    3. Foster

    4. Youn

    5. Close

    6. Zengel

    7. Fishback

Zengel’s fifth. Yeah NOWT turned out to be a fringe BP contender, but there’s no reason Fishback or even Seyfried is over her.

My predictions are Yung, Colman, Seyfried, Bakalova, Foster. I feel like if anybody in the top five are getting snubbed it’s still Close. Yung is the front-runner despite missing the GGs, and I think Seyfried’s SAG miss won’t do more harm to her chances than the GG snub did to Yung. This is definitely the acting category I’m least sure about though. Honestly for this I’ll be ecstatic with 4/5 right.

If Toni Collette makes a surprise upset tomorrow… at this point I wouldn’t even be surprised.
