Glenn will be nominated and let’s just leave it at that. Think about it, her recent Oscar loss is still fresh in voters’ minds. This performance is sort of an unofficial “reminder” that she missed out on the Oscar just recently, and now they are presented with another opportunity to award her. She’s in her 70s and who knows if she’ll even be nominated again in the future. Now is the time, especially with such an open category like this.

thats what I keep saying. If the category looks like this on Oscar nomination day….look out!

The only other contender, in slot 2, is Sherfield

Who’s Sherfield? And what character is she playing? I haven’t heard of her.

Anyway, I’ll eat some crow for now but I moved Close back into my predictions (at 5th).

I put Glenn in the 5th spot as well. Even with such awful reviews I think her strong performance will have enough Academy support to make it into this category in such a weak year. But she’s not even remotely a threat to win anymore. Not that the Academy needs an excuse to snub Glenn again: they probably would have done it anyway.

Glenn could easily get a nomination but a win for the film that she is in? I doubt it. I’ve been wrong before though.

Glenn won’t be nominated again unless it’s a film she can actually win.

I think both Bergen and Weist are happening. They could be the Adams and Davis to le Streep this year.

“I saw her as the Cameron Diaz of her generation, someone who would be seen more as a comedian,” David Fincher said. When he reached out to Amanda Seyfried for the role in MANK, she cried.

David Fincher gets Cameron Diaz to come out of retirement challenge.

    Let’s make it happen.

I watched Hillbily today, boy this film sucks.
If Glenn wins for this it will be a slap on her legacy and iconic roles

Nope. Let Them All Talk is competing at the Oscars.
