Literally 0 upsets is kinda disappointing.

Oh well, time to go back to the music forum full time! Hope Abba wins ROTY, Arooj Aftab wins BNA, Donda wins AOTY and Bad Habits wins SOTY to make up for the lack of shockers!

I’m totally devastated. There’s absolutely no excuse for this. We had everything we needed to make it to next year’s Champions League and we failed. We are Liverpool and qualifying to the competition is the bare minimum. I am sorry but it’s too soon for an uplifting or optimistic post. We let you and ourselves down.

CODA is gonna be forgotten even faster than Green Book was since Will Smith just gave the biggest Oscar moment since Moonlight/La La Land mixup💀

It’ll probably be forgotten by you but not by anyone else!

Yep, no one cares about the winners, Will took all the attention for himself

The DMC win fueled me through the rest of the shindig. A shame that Hamaguchi didn’t win Screenplay for spinning gold from a short story. I haven’t seen the original French film that CODA is a remake of, but I’m firm in my belief that remakes of existing movies – not adapting the original material, but just repackaging it in a different language and with new sets and actors – is not deserving in the least of recognition for Writing. The movie already exists, you’re not putting in a quarter of the effort required to take pure prose or even a play to the screen like Hamaguchi or Campion or Villeneuve did (his Dune cannot be called a remake of the first like WSS or CODA).

If we’re getting an upset in AOTY at least make it evermore or MONTERO

I was sure Cruz would take it, and Encanto would translate it’s smashing success to a Song win, also missed Belfast for OS like everybody else and one of the shorts, oh well, time for the EMMYS!

Placed 1,617. Not too bad. Went with Cruz and had Belfast in third.

This was my first time seriously predicting the oscars so I’m happy with my 20/23 score.

Kinda regret switching CODA at the last moment lol. Should’ve known it was locked the moment it won SAG + PGA + WGA
