Only got 4 wrong but that original screenplay really f*cks me up damn! I placed Belfast at 4th, thinking it will either go to Pizza (sweeping precursors and big critics) or Worst Person (inspirational pick, indeed good script). Man it almost feel like “we have to give Belfast something so they don’t go empty handed”.

I hope he doesn’t have to return it, since there are several terrible people who still have their Oscars

For the second year in a row, Yuh-Jung Yoon was one of the highlights of the evening. Can we get her on every year?

March 27, 2022 at 10:09 pm #1204884447Academy will ask him to return because his actions took place on their stage, their platform. They are also accountable for Will’s action since they sanctioned and passed the joke,
ReplyCopy URLMarch 27, 2022 at 10:10 pm #1204884450I doubt they will ask Will to give the Oscar back. He “earned” it fair and square. Now if they don’t want to invite him back, then that’s fair.

March 27, 2022 at 10:19 pm #1204884469I’m happy for Jess Chastain, Ariana DeBose, Troy Kotsur, and the Gaga/Liza moment was super sweet but otherwise…wasn’t expecting the La La Land/Moonlight moment of wtfery to be topped so soon. And the way the ceremony ended up being long as shit regardless, a lot of people got fucked out of their moment for no reason.
ReplyCopy URLMarch 27, 2022 at 10:20 pm #1204884473Anyway, the movie with the best reviews, the movie that won NY/LA/NSFC, was Drive My Car so if a movie was going to win off of acclaim it should have been that.
Sans that, audience favorite it is.
