The Academy won’t award a script with a fart joke.

Licorice Pedo has much more offensive jokes including White people mimicking Asian accents. Your point?

Belfast the British movie that was suppose to dominate BAFTA for being the biggest British movie of the year lost to Licorice Pizza, a non-factor in the UK. Now Belfast is suppose to win at the Oscars, where the members are more international? Please give me a break.

They already nominated it, against all odds, so I’m pretty sure they don’t give a f*ck.

Imagine wanting Coda to win when all the other scripts in this category would be more deserving. Cannot relate.

Licorice Pizza is taking Original Screenplay. The truth is that Belfast has no industry support whatsoever. The film has 0 guild wins of far and its only saving grace is an unreliable Golden Globes win (Yes I am ignoring pundits choice awards), which has gotten Original Screenplay wrong 2 times in a row in the past 3 years.

Before you bring up films that won Original Screenplay with only a Globe, Green Book and Birdman, those films won Best Picture and had strong guild support. The former had a SAG win from Supporting Actor and took PGA. The latter took SAG, DGA, and PGA. Unless we see Belfast winning at random places like CAS or ASC (which it has 0% chance of winning) then Branagh’s awards run is over.

Michelle (Yeoh, Williams) Oscar campaign manager.

    FYC:
Best Picture: Banshees of Inisherin, Everything Everywhere All At Once, Decision to Leave
Best Director: Park Chan-Wook Todd Field
Best Original Screenplay: Banshees of Inisherin, Everything Everywhere All At Once
    Best Actor: Colin Farrell
Best Actress: Michelle Yeoh, Cate Blanchett, Tang Wei
Best Supporting Actor: Brendan Gleeson, Ke Huy Quan
Best Supporting Actress: Kerry Condon, Nina Hoss
