Jennifer Lawrence in Winter’s Bone and Silver Linings Playbook is better than anything Carey Mulligan has ever done. Now back to actors…

I could go off about how Mulligan has more range as an actress and brings much more depth and humanity to her characters than JLaw has brought to any of hers (having not seen Winter’s Bone), but I’m gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you’re just trying to push my buttons. So I won’t

Now that it’s seemingly confirmed for this year – is Javier Bardem Lead in Being the Ricardos? If he’s Lead then Amazon have a lot going on in that category – Cumberbatch, Driver, Bardem.

I think so. Tony Hale and JK Simmons will probably be touted for supporting actor.

Bardem has one hell of a year ahead of him: 3 awards juggernauts, a Disney superproduction and a family film.

Are you guys seriously thinking that a Leonardo di freaking caprio movie is not netflix’s #1 priority? Its a bigger deal for netflix even than the Rock/Reynolds movie.

I know it’s doubtful but Caleb Landry Jones getting in would make the line-up a lot more exciting.

Yeah I just listened to the relevant bit of the podcast where BtR was apparently confirmed and it’s literally the actor guessing and saying he hopes it will be this year because of awards season. Not remotely confirmation.

The film still not having a US distributor is not a good sign considering how fast stuff was getting snapped up out of Cannes.

Furthermore the divisiveness of the film itself will keep him away from the nomination
