That y’all hate Bradley Cooper doesn’t mean everyone outside here does. Unlike Will Smith, Cooper has always been nominated for BP nominated films and he was competitive for the win at least twice. He is also a box office draw. He’s been making great choices post Silver Linings Playbook. Take it or leave it, Cooper is due for some recognition. I love Smith, but the only area he’s bigger than Cooper is fame. Comberbatch doesn’t even compare since he has just one nomination and Cooper is a much bigger star than him

Can Denzel win BAFTA? He’s never been recognized by BAFTA. Lord Macbeth can be his vehicle.

Yeah… To be honest, I think people on here think he’s on the same level as Vince Vaughn or something, as an actor.

But nah… Public loves him. He’s probably on the same sort of appreciation level as George Clooney or Matt Damon. Maybe, a bit higher, because he does have slightly more range than them two.

A very annoying young man, who loves cinema. 🙂

Yeah, we’re in September and there’s already a trifecta of locked nominations:

    1. Smith

    2. Washington

    3. Cumberbatch

My guess is that DiCaprio secures the fourth spot, and the last one is between Dinklage, Garfield, and Driver.

    Benedict Cumberbatch
    Will Smith
    Denzel Washington
    Bradley Cooper

The last one is up for grabs

No but he’ll win some critics awards. They slobbered all over the movie.

I’m sticking with Collins for “fifth spot” – but also not sure if Cooper can hold off Dinklage for the fourth.

We are predicting the Oscars, last year an actress in an indie movie won the Oscar

You can’t possibly compare Frances McDormand, one of the most respected actresses in Hollywood right now, in Best Picture winner Nomadland to Clifton Collins jr. who would be the only nomination for Jockey. I like the man, but come on.

Anything can happen, Steven Yeun was nominated for an indie movie too.

It almost seems inevitable, his snubs are arguably one of the reasons they changed their rules, because they can’t really justify it.
