Not Olivia Colman pulling an… Olivia de Havilland. I still think Stewart’s the frontrunner, but her losing the Volpi Cup was the best thing to happen to Libby’s campaign for a repeat win so soon.

The quality of the movie overall isn’t gonna matter with these raves. Whew.

Oh no I agree. But I still think with competition this packed she’s going to need a few contenders to falter to get in because the film doesn’t really seem strong enough as a contender overall.

I am slotting her in at SAG right now though.

Nightmare Alley is kinda serving Mank, don’t ask me why.

Has Guillermo even finished the film yet? I thought that’s why it skipped the circuit?

Chastain got raves, Searchlight will prioritize her over Blanchett (unless Blanchett outperforms, which is actually possible)

It wasnt finished in time so it skipped the circuit. And we are now seeing the repercussions of lost festival buzz.

The acting like the categories are locked up in SEPTEMBER. Go check the forums from last year and see what people were predicting at this time.

This is far from over, especially when there are still not seen contenders.
