Why couldn’t Kristen win anything in Venice?

Are the rumours true that industry people didn’t like the movie hence no trophy for her or the director, but only twitter critics are hyping it?

Will the movie being artsy/her performance being subtle penalize her?

Critics are warming up to Halle 🙏🏼

How great would it be to see Berry nominated again ?! I do think she has a very solid chance ( film, role, narrative). I haven’t seen Smith or Washington yet but I guess they’ll have to deliver something really special to top Cumberbatch in The Power of the Dog.

Whoever gets BAFTA wins the dildo. I hope we have learned that.

It won’t work like that every year. They succeeded this year because they don’t like black performers and the GG didn’t want to be called racists once more. People dismissed the GGs after they got most categories wrong, but if same GG had rightfully awarded Hopkins, they would have been called disgusting names by same GG haters. But I love the GGs for their bold choices. BAFTA won’t always be the major predictors. But I feel for them CC as it looks like we won’t be having GGs, they’ve got no one to copy from. Maybe they’ll copy NBR this time. lol

    I don’t think they’ll have a repeat winner AGAIN after 2020 and 2021.

I love how people are really rooting for Halle. I really hope this at least turns out to be a good film, with a great performance by her…..nominated or not. This could really be a turning point in her career.
