The way this Oscar season hasn’t even started and I’m already getting tired of it.

Who’s ready for the Gaga stans to induce headaches?

So because the movie got rejected by a film festival nobody cares about you think a Coen film starring Denzel and Frances will get paid dust by Oscar voters …lol some of you are delusional (no offense)

Only one person on the forum (as far as I can see) said that. The rest of us are just a bit skeptical not just because Venice is definitely a film festival most people care about lol but also because the “if she gets nominated in Lead, she will win” statement is repeated like its an irrefutable law of the universe, which is a bit ridiculous.

I still have both of them getting nominated. Maybe Washington wins.

Idk what crack some folks are smoking, but Gaga is not winning for Gucci. Not specifically talking about anyone on these forums, but this isn’t the role that someone wins for. Granted, I’m a Gucci doubter, but even so it just doesn’t look like she can win considering who else is in competition. Even with de Armas out, you have Kristen Stewart, Cate Blanchett, maybe Frances McDormand and maybe Jennifer Hudson who could compete for a win (I’ve made it very clear who my prediction is, but there’s a case to be made for all four of them). Gaga is not stronger than them imo

Gaga is definitely stronger than Stewart lol

The reactions for it from TIFF last year say otherwise

Lol we care about it as movie lovers and film geeks but oscar voters love and respect the Coen brothers Denzel and Frances if the movie is. Pushed for oscar noms it will get oscar noms.

Hopefully I-like  when people don’t care about Halle. The pressure is on Kirsten, Gaga and Frances.

Doubtful. One is playing Princess Diana and has the chance to win Volpi and potentially have a BAFTA advantage like many of the most recent years. The other is playing someone not as well-known who probably won’t win much at all and could easily be snubbed by the jury (tho Stewart could too, but that’s honestly something I doubt)

Gaga is an Oscar winner and best actress nominee in a baity movie by a director with a great history at Oscars. Spencer’s director is loved too but not as much as Ridley Scott. Gaga is stronger till KStew actually wins Volpi.

Nobody is stronger or ahead of anyone when reviews aren’t even out for basically any of these movies.
