Did you watch the first half?

Yes. But that’s just it, I wanted more from her perspective throughout and I think we do get Driver’s perspective a lot more consistently throughout.

    FYC:
Picture: The Power of the Dog, Passing, The Lost Daughter
    Director: Jane Campion, Rebecca Hall
    Actor: Benedict Cumberbatch
    Actress: Tessa Thompson, Olivia Colman
Supporting Actress: Kirsten Dunst, Ruth Negga, Dakota Johnson, Jessie Buckley
Supporting Actor: Kodi Smit-McPhee, Jesse Plemons

The entire first half is her perspective… and then in the second half even though it’s more with Charlie we see how she flourishes away from him. But we also see the worst of both of them.

They had a whole ass year to finish that movie 😭 maybe Netflix feels like they have way too much for this awards season?

I’ve heard rumors of that too. I’m not sure it was really slated for 2021 in the first place. It filmed pretty recently. Being the ricardo’s pushed back to 2022

Jesus fucking Christ – is every film in contention going to be pushed a year back?

    There’s a lot of back catalog that didn’t get a 2020 release.

Netflix has an avalanche of projects waiting in the wings for awards consideration, many of which are undated but expected to drop in the calendar year. This includes the directorial debuts of Halle Berry (“Bruised”), Rebecca Hall (“Passing”), Jeymes Samuel (“The Harder They Fall”) and Lin-Manuel Miranda (“Tick, Tick…Boom!”), as well as a passion project from Paolo Sorrentino (“The Hand of God”) and a still-untitled feature from director Nora Fingscheidt starring Sandra Bullock.

It’s bad wbk this. Netflix realized this as everyone should have after the Venice rejection.
