How will BAFTA cease to be a good precursor when the top 2 performances voted by the BAFTA voting body will still get nominated. Usually those top 2 performances are the frontrunners anyways. Let’s not forget they nominated frontrunners Kaluuya and Boseman last year. And BAFTA was still able to foreshadow the Hopkins upset with Boseman and Ahmed in the BAFTA ballot.

    Michelle Williams Oscar campaign manager.

I hope you realize that the Oscars voting ends before the BAFTA nominations are announced?

Im referring to Oscar winning. If you aren’t nominated for the BAFTA, your momentum is severely cut.

Poor Stewart stans, performing mental gymnastics all over the place to convince themselves and everyone that their girl is a lock to win BAFTA, because they know as well as everyone that she stands no chance in hell at SAG.

Yeah but I think Gaga’s nomination will be her reward. Similarly, Kristen losing at the BAFTAs is not great either. So if anything, the BAFTAs is going to be bad for both lol. As someone who’s rooting for KS you should really not be happy/bragging about that part of the campaign, because it’s the biggest threat to KS momentum, who will probably win everything up until the BAFTAs.

Also remember it’s always possible to support Gaga or whoever your candidate is without trashing Kristen Stewart or her fans.

Stewart will be this years Carey Dulligan…

Critics pushing it down people’s throat, only for the industry to say NO!

the biggest question will be how the voters turn out for another Diana biopic, we saw how that played out w Corrin at the Emmy’s who won every precursor (bar SAG, losing out to Gillian) and heavily favored to win until the very moment Olivia was announced

She’s winning, we like it or not, Carey Mulligan portrayed a character the Academy rarely rewards, Stewart is playing a British monarch and the Academy is crazy about British monarchs.

This Oscars will be a repeat of that I feel. KStew will be favored by GD, only for Olivia to win and leave them butthurt.
