@AwardsBait3818: “Parallel Mothers has the exact same metascore as Passing”

Ah! How lovely — thanks for the correction. I feel like I checked Parallel Mothers after Venice a few times but ofc it went up, so did Passing. 🙂 Appreciate it.

A bigger lock than Stewart. The complexity in her portrayal is unmatched.

I’m not sure my fav is really coming but I HOPE she is, Penélope deserves this nomination so much you guys, it’s a career best performance. Right now I’ll go with:

    1. Kristen Stewart
    2. Nicole Kidman
    3. Olivia Colman
    4. Lady Gaga
    5. Penélope Cruz/Jennifer Hudson

**Tessa Thompson and Alana Haim are next in line for me.

It is more than delusional to think Olivia Colman is ahead of Lady Gaga. You guys are basing your predictions on RT and MC ratings and it won’t work.

Part of me wants Chastain to happen just so that Grace has an epic mental breakdown.

You are one to talk about delusion! Everyone has the right to make their own predictions, last year Frances McDormand won and was the performer in the most acclaimed film (93% on RT) and last decade 6 out of 10 winners were on movies with over 90% on RT, 3 of them were on movies with over 80%; The only performer in a movie with less than 80% to win was Meryl Streep (A legend winning her 3rd award). If you think she is going to win good for you, go hard until the end for her, but I have all the right to place Olivia ahead of Gaga.

I just watched Spencer and Kristen ATE. Best Performance of the year so far, let’s wait for Olivia if she surprises, but for now, Kristen is clearly frontrunner.

No one will watch The Lost Daughter and the concept is not award friendly. You’ll soon wake up

    watched Bruised.

Halle was wonderful and REALLY tapped into her true potential as an actress. This is absolutely one of her best performances…and such an achievement for her first hand at directing. The movie itself could have been better, but it was definitely not terrible. It was good. Sheila Atim was also fantastic….she’s a star.

Halle would be deserving of nomination over some of the people that are being seen as top 6 candidates. I actually think she has a shot.
