Just because a movie gets good response doesn’t mean it will get nominated for everything. Fucking exhausting.
November 30, 2021 at 4:24 am #1204614912A movie that hasn’t even been released is sweeping. Are the Gothams that cheap and crazy?
Still bitter about 2019? lol
November 30, 2021 at 4:26 am #1204614914The Hollywood Critics Association will be the first major group to announce their nominations on December 2 (does anyone know at what time?)

Lol. There’s nothing to be bitter about. It is Glenn Close that should be worried, not Lady Gaga. I’m only saying it as it is.
Anticipate "Hold My hand".
Lady Gaga is a genius
November 30, 2021 at 4:50 am #1204614935I’m not predicting Zegler but I fail to see why more people are confident about Haim than her, when ultimately she appears to receive similar reviews and WSS will be more widely seen.

true, Haim has no hope

Almost as exhausting as the hyperbole and passive aggression from most users here. Literally nobody said anything is getting nominated everywhere…
FYC:
Swinton, Weerasethakul Memoria, (Best Actress, Director)
Efira, Rampling, Wilson Benedetta (Best Actress, Supporting Actress/Actor)
Rapace Lamb (Best Actress)
Stewart, Hawkins, Spall Spencer (Best Actress, Supporting Actress/Actor)November 30, 2021 at 5:08 am #1204614961I’m not predicting Zegler but I fail to see why more people are confident about Haim than her, when ultimately she appears to receive similar reviews and WSS will be more widely seen.
Because Haim is receiving raves every time this film screens and unlike West Side Story, Licorice Pizza is win competitive for Best Picture and will have strong momentum from these critics groups.
FYC:
"The Good Fight" and "The Other Two" in all categories.

I thought New York Film Critics Circle and New York Film Critics Online we’re announcing too this weekend. And the National Board of Review is already confirmed.

I know people make fun of them (and rightfully so, they are bizarre as an awards group to say the least) but I did like how they threw Elisabeth Moss a nomination for her underrated work in The Invisible Man last year.

"The Good Fight" and "The Other Two" in all categories.

Having a bad morning, huh?

New York Film Critics Circle is on December 3, and New York Film Critics Online is on December 5.

NBR naming Clooney’s The Midnight Sky in their top ten was pretty bizarre too.

Glenn is fine. She even got nominated for a panned film and had a great time at the Oscars. She is not having a full meltdown every time Colman’s name is brought up, unlike some…
