Whoever wins, I just want it to be a first timer. Not everyone should have two Oscars when there are hundreds of actresses waiting to get one

    Laga Gaga for Best Actress.

House of Gucci for best picture.

Belfast for everything - Best Picture win

I just finished Bruised, Halle delivered but the screenplay and the film didn’t do any justice to her, the problem I think was that there were too many things going on at the same time that it became a little tiresome, but Halle did a good job tho, the scene with the panic attack and the one when she calls out her mom were really good.

    1) Kristen Stewart
    2) Halle Berry
    3) Jessica Chastain

Next stop, Respect, then Passing and The Last Duel.

What could possibly help Zegler, and West Side Story as a whole, is the inherent narrative that comes with Sondheim’s legacy, made even more potent in the last few days. This is a reach but given that the industry already seems to be embracing Zegler this may push her over into a nomination?

Cant agree with that, the better performance for everyone (critics, voters and the people) should always win. Unless its like someone who is always winning left and right, like Frances

Frances was the best performance last year so no problem there.

Nicole Kidman is the queen of miscast but her performances outshine the mistakes.

Olivia Coleman is NOT overdue for another Oscar.

Kristen Stewart’s hype is now disappearing because now people are actually mixed on her portrayal of Diana

Jessica Chastian is more likely going to miss out for the nomination

Penelope Cruz is still a mix bag. Just because she won a Volpi, does not mean a guarantee Oscar nomination

I think people are overblowing the mixed/negative reactions to Stewart a tad. I remember hearing a lot more negative press about Rami Malek. I think this is a pretty standard range of reactions that won’t necessarily affect her chances too badly. The overall public opinion is still that she’s done a great job.
