Gold Derby: “GAGA is locked because she won NYFCC.” Meanwhile the last three actress to win NYFCC were snubbed at the Oscar. You can’t make this shit up.

    Context:

2 out of those 3, had a 120k and 550k total box office run. So it’s not hard to see why they didn’t make it. Their movies were good, but very niche and not widely seen. And the other was a horror movie. You could argue it’s not really Oscar friendly.

And 7 out of the 8 winners that preceeded them went on to get nominated for an Oscar.

If you think Pokerface, Bad Romance, Born This Way, Telephone, Shallow will not be played decades later lol

Not in the same way those ladies’ catalogs will be remembered, no.

Unless you have the power to see the future you cant assume something like this.

Gaga situation with critics was already in a better state after her album with Tony bennett, she didnt need a movie carrer tô revive her but I am glad she gave a try, in the end she only found out another thing she is great at

Kinda like how you were trying to predict Adele’s and Taylor’s future in the Grammy thread? Leave me alone and let me have my opinion. This is not the Gaga worship thread. Thanks.

Call me when Beyoncé has a hit as big as Shallow again that isn’t a remix.

Anyways, back on TOPIC, the first 4 places seem locked so far. Exciting.

I will never understand why Gaga has the most passionate haters. They will resort to the pettiest arguments and the most egregious logical fallacies to try to diminish each of her accomplishments.

Taylor’s biggest songs are Love Story, Shake It Off and Blank Space, Beyoncé has Crazy in Love and Single Ladies.

Taylor and Beyoncé are amazing album sellers, they have sold more albums than Gaga and that’s a fact, but Gaga has bigger songs than them, especially over Taylor. Poker Face, Just Dance, Bad Romance and Shallow are worldwide songs. The closest thing to those is Single Ladies.
