Jennifer Hudson doing an in-person interview for Respect with reporter Jake Hamilton in Chicago: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=PcTJ0dGXwdg
J.Hud did not come to play, okur!
August 7, 2021 at 8:37 am #1204385636Margot Robbie is a way better actress than stefani, she would’ve done that gucci lady 1000x better
Flashbacks to win people said Margot would’ve done Cassie Thomas better than Carey Mulligan.
If Margot had done this, I fear it would be too much like Harley Quinn, which also would’ve been my fear if she did PYW. Gaga seems like she’s doing something different than that even if it doesn’t look particularly good

Everything Everywhere All at Once for everything, everywhere, all at onceAugust 7, 2021 at 8:43 am #1204385645I don’t think that any actress is a lock, including Lady Gaga. Ridley Scott is hit or miss as a filmmaker. That all being said you guys said all the same things about A Star is Born. Nearly the exact same things, so excuse me if I think that bias colors your predictions just as much as it colors Little Monsters predictions. Lady Gaga is the underdog on these boards because you guys are obsessed with English rose actresses from television series. Anyone not in the mold doesn’t get as much support.
I screamed here, you’re a legend
August 7, 2021 at 8:55 am #1204385668They really are going all-out for Hudson pre-release.
If movie doesn’t do well at box office, I don’t think they will push for Hudson during award season.
Her performance really needs to be acclaimed, so that she can remain in conversation, other wise I see this one being forgotten when festivals and other contenders kick in.

August 7, 2021 at 9:48 am #1204385722You guys on gold derby kill me talking about someone’s acting skills i bet you Kristen Stewart can get any role over you can we see you guys audition tape or something let’s see how much of actor y’all are.
August 7, 2021 at 9:51 am #1204385736I love Margot Robbie, but I am glad she passed on PYM and let Carey Mulligan take the lead. It was the right choice. Margot tried that revenge tale already with Terminal and it turned out ugly. Carey was perfect.
FYC: Better Call Saul, The English and The Good Fight in all categories including Emily Blunt, Bob Odenkirk, Christine Baranski and Rhea Seehorn.
August 7, 2021 at 9:55 am #1204385740Margot is just a naturally gifted actress
Carey is a way better actress tho. As much as I hate PYW at least it got her name more well known.
Also, aside from Harley Quinn I failed to see Margot nailing any part. But thats just a personal take.
August 7, 2021 at 9:58 am #1204385746Well, duh. Her parents work in Hollywood, it’s how she got where she is today. Of course she would get a role before any of us.
She may have got help but the reason she is here in the position she is in today is her acting she’s not no Meryl Streep but the girl can give a good performance the test screenings for Spencer has raved her performance as Diana so while y’all hating she probably about to have her acting skills give her multiple acting nominations and a Oscar nom.

Stop. At least when it doenst always matter, connection often matters. We wouldnt have seen talents like Saoirse Ronan and Angelina Jolie if its not for connection to people in the industry (Ronan’s father is an actor and Angie’s is Jon Voight)
Im not a KStew fan but if that is the argument you could make, then Jaden Smith and Nicola Peltz (Katara in that Atrocious Last Airbender) should’ve kept getting roles after their disastrous performance right?

Of course, that could mean #2, could mean out of the Top 5 altogether. Hard to read the tea leaves jussssst yet. via awards watch who will be representing woc if ever there’s one?
