I’m starting to feel more confident in this lineup. There are some really great performances here, but also seems a little lazy when there is also Haim, Zegler, Cruz, Thompson, etc. right there.

Gaga, Kidman, and Chastain all kind of fit into the same “best part of a subpar biopic” category, so it feels like it will be one of them. I’ve been predicting a Chastain snub for months but now I’m not so sure..

Prediction: Stewart (Critics) > Gaga (Audience) > Colman > Chastain/Kidman. Doesn’t get the hype for Colman as of now, her film has some elements of psychological horror that the academy wasn’t keen about, but I’m not ruling her chance out yet.

I think Kidman and Chastain (more so) are the two that can be snubbed in favor of Haim/Zegler.
At this point, Gaga seems like almost a lock for a nomination so I don’t expect her to be snubbed.
