I wonder if both Zegler and Alana could get in.

Haim is virtually done, she need GG win to keep her momentum and she’s def not hitting SAG; Zelger has a chance w her NBR+GG win & film vying for a BP slot

Critics Choice Awards is a just a bunch of bandwagon pundits, wanting to predict Oscars and they got it all wrong last year. BAFTAs is the most accurate because it is after all the dust has settled and there is big overlap with the Academy.

It’ll probably be between Kidman, Stewart and maybe Gaga. They’re postponed indefinitely so hopefully the loompa lompa film Society whatever gets forgotten by then. They won’t follow.

Darling, I hope I got $500 every time someone spells ‘Coleman’.

    FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION

Michelle Yeoh, Everything Everywhere All At Once
    Tang Wei, Decision To Leave
    Rebecca Hall, Resurrection

James Hong & Jamie Lee Curtis, Everything Everywhere All At Once

People need to put respect on her name for real. LOL

Haim might get weaker and weaker but I’m surprised most here don’t consider her for a BAFTA jury pick. That won’t be enough for an Oscar nom unless the academy specifically gets special attention for PTA like it happened with Phantom Thread. But not expecting it.

Phantom was played by Daniel, an English actor with the story set in London. Haim didn’t make London or Dublin, consider her over performance here, people there definitely don’t care that much for her.

When I think of BAFTAs jury picks my mind goes to names you propably never heard in your life.

    Last year noms

Frances McDormand – Nomadland as Fern

Alfre Woodard – Clemency as Warden Bernadine Williams
Bukky Bakray – Rocksas Olushola Omotoso
Radha Blank – The Forty-Year-Old Version as Radha
Vanessa Kirby – Pieces of a Woman as Martha Weiss
Wunmi Mosaku – His House as Rial

Winning the GG won’t keep any momentum this year.

Good case in point, but if they try to “boost” weak contenders I see a path for a mix of her, obviosly Cruz and someone like Thompson or Comer.

GG also got it all wrong last year except Daniel Kaluuya and still have credibility if it’s to predict Kristen’s chances are dead

Jodie Foster won and didn’t even get a nod for best supp. actress.

But ofc local british names and unknown indie contenders that make top 15 should be included in the lineup. We have to wait till wednesday for a better picture.

Globes has better ratio than CC this century in Actress. CC was getting it wrong even before pandemic too. 😭
