I saw a post of her saying that Lucille never won SAG or something and that she’ll gladly accept it on her behalf. I was like girlll at least dont make it too obvious. It’s gonna rub people the wrong way like that..
I think it’s gonna work well. Renee’s Judy has a similar narrative. Something that comes to my mind is Meryl’s Iron Lady campaign slogan. Her narrative was something like “Meryl, the greatest actress of our time, hasn’t won an Academy in 29 years”. Yes it seems so desperate but it work out so well at the end.

How far some people are going to try and say that Gaga is still missing is insane, or the way some people are jumping to conclusions and saying Chastain is now winning is also funny. It just doesn’t make sense, especially if something like BTR or HoG gets picture among other noms, which seems likely as of now. It is then between Kidman and Gaga. Chastain is 3/4 at best right now.
This is not a diss on Chastain, I liked her performance and I find her very charming. This is just how I see things at this point.

I mean, Judy Garland was actually nominated for Oscars, and was very egregiously robbed for A Star is Born. Lucille Ball did films, but she wasn’t known for them as much as her TV work, and again, SAG Awards are less than thirty years old.
January 12, 2022 at 5:27 pm #1204722879I just realized that Penelope is currently watching her husband hitting the precursors in Best Actor (GG, SAG, BAFTA longlist) for a vastly inferior performance
I wonder what their discussions sound like
FYC

Seems like industry may be watching Lost Daughter
January 12, 2022 at 5:29 pm #1204722887Colman, Kidman and Gaga all have a shot. I was doubtful Gaga was even getting in a couple months ago but we have to admit she’s a real contender now. Colman is Colman, and Kidman’s role is more baity and in a higher profile movie than House of Gucci, but this race is wide open and pretty much anyone can still take it.

If that happened to me, at least no sex for three months out of spite
January 12, 2022 at 5:31 pm #1204722894oh now SAG is irrelevant
Hun, there’s been a trend the last couple of years where SAG is good at predicting nominations but not predicting winners in competitive races.
Regina King and Marcia Gay Harden missed noms also. Plus last year McDormand and Hopkins didn’t win at SAG.

Kirsten is a universal treasure. That being said, go Ruth!!! She deserves. A much stronger winner than whatever we’ll have in this mess
January 12, 2022 at 5:32 pm #1204722914I hate that Stewart missed, but not going to lie, I laughed my ass off at this one!
Especially because that fool would ridicule people on here that said Stewart was missing. Same with Film123.And they called Olivia fans craziest of them all?? @Plumpshell LMFAOO. I think I was already kinda warning film123 with the Globes nominations back 😭💕
Don’t worry this is just gonna open a lot more opportunities for Kristen. She could still hopefully surprise (?) on nominations day. Let’s hope!!

I am sure she is very happy for him. They are both nominated and both will likely win at the Goya awards – she for Parallel Mothers and he for The Good Boss.
January 12, 2022 at 5:34 pm #1204722924Matt Neglia just said in his Zoom that he believes that CC will go for Kidman now that Stewart is falling. He also said the ceremony seems to be happening early March or end of February. I know he is to be taken with a grain of salt and he is a big joke for the most part, but lowkey he is spilling the tea on this zoom.
