It will all be about who gets a BP nom on the Oscar day

Yeah, and the PGAs should help tell us which one of the frontrunners may be getting into BP.

I’m sure some will still be unsure even after the Oscars finish 😩

”kristen losing the oscar is actually a good thing”

I know it won’t happen but it’d be hilarious if Gaga’s Oscar scene is when Patrizia is getting fucked her brains out

She’d win the Oscar on the spot if that was the case. LOL

Oscars are such a funny thing. Stewart, Colman, Kidman, Chastain, Gaga are just incredibly wonderful artists. And despite the fact that these are some of the most famous actresses, masters of their craft, who did an excellent job, only one will get an Oscar, and that would be unfair in any case, because they were all beautiful. So keep in mind that it doesn’t mean anything and just be happy, whoever won in the end. As Emma Stone said (who was actually beautiful) Oscar is just a huge confluence of luck and opportunity

Exactly. We have our faves and whatnot, but Oscars aren’t as massive for an actor’s legacy as some make it out to be.

Exactly. There are Oscar-winning actresses who remain mostly unknown and irrelevant (Olivia Colman). There are actresses without Oscar wins who are huge superstars (Scarlet Johannson).

By the way, does anyone know why Scarlett Johansson was snubbed for Lost in Translation? She won the BAFTA and was nominated at the Globes, but missed the SAG.

Honestly, Lost in Translation is probably one of my favorite movies of all time. It should have won Best Picture instead of LoTR.

Fave scenes: Whole dating sequence, from library to the river, Patrizia gaslighting Paolo, + Al Pacino scenes idk there’s a lot 😭

The Oscar clip for Colman should be: “Children are a… crushing responsability. Happy birthday 😊”.

Lost in Translation was nominated for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Original Screenplay, but Johannson was snubbed despite winning the BAFTA. This doesn’t sit right with me.

Kate Winslet got in despite Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind only being nominated for Best Original Screenplay.

How is Olivia Colman “unknown” or “irrelevant”?
