Another day, another new film critic circle lol.
Lady Gaga has proven herself to be a very great actress. She will win an Oscar. She may be nominated, but not in this year with so many veteran Hollwood veterans as contenders this year.
And what’s wrong with that? She’s deserving of that fifth slot. She gave a way better performance than the overhyped Stewart in the snooze fest that was Spencer.

Jennifer Hudson played herself and sung like herself in the Aretha Franklin biopic. If she is nominated for an Oscar it would be in poor taste considering a great year for leading actresses who obviously put forth the work ethic in their performances. Playing yourself impersonating an American legend shouldn’t garner you an Oscar nomination, especially with the Lead Actress contenders this year.
Do you know know Jennifer Hudson? How would you know if she’s playing herself? She doesn’t have the same vocal cadence in real life as she does playing Aretha.

Partially agree. Maybe it’s because the movie itself looks like Lifetime channel kind of product. Not gonna lie I was very surprised by her SAG nom but again they need person of color to avoid potential backlash. Anyway in JHud defense, her movie did really well among viewers, just look at RT.

But he was also in Annette and The Last Duel). -Keanu Reeves (The Matrix Resurrections). -Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya or Jason Momoa (Dune). -Jennifer Lawrence, Ariana Grande, LDC or Meryl Streep (Don’t Look Up). -Alana Haim (Licorice Pizza). -Jennifer Hudson (Respect). -Camila Cabello (Cinderella).

The actors on actors interviews will be published on January 24. All of the actors have been revealed, with the exception of the actor Gaga is paired with. All I did was predict who it would be and say that Variety was being silly for making a big deal about it. I deleted it because I didn’t realize some people were going to be annoying about it.
