No not you specifically, I’m talking in general. I always see on twitter complaints about how Renate, Tessa are not getting nominations. But when they do, suddenly they don’t like the jury so much anymore because Kidman or Olivia missed. Like obviously if indie actresses are going to make it, they’re going to do so at the expense of some big contenders.

I am talking about straight up missing the nomination at both. Not winning is never a huge blow, but missing nomination at both BAFTA/LFCC doesn’t bode well.

This also lowkey points to Kidman not being top 3 at BAFTA. Of course we won’t know for sure but it is fair assumption top 3 were Gaga/???/Colman.

I’m pretty sure LFCC doesn’t care for Gaga, she couldn’t possibly get nom there regardless. Colman missing Baftas is weird but reasonable giving the jury’s purpose. They probably think Colman is locked for nom so they decided to give other British actor more exposure.

LFCC Winners are voted by the film section that has 180 members. The Lost Daughter got 6 noms, you could guess Colman is taking it there. They love Colman a lot.
