I honesty believe BAFTA will make/break the Oscar race for Gaga.
Voting period will start 5 days after BAFTAs, its in Gaga best interest if she is plastered all over social media with that trophy in her hand. If she loses, a recent loss won’t be good for her heading into voting period.
BAFTA is absolute for Gaga, regardless of how she or anyone else does at SAG

I think that Gaga is the frontrunner at BAFTA, but it’s not like she’s a lock to win. Scanlan won at BIFA and BAFTA absolutely adored Licorice Pizza. They are threats to Gaga, without a doubt.
What happens if Haim wins BAFTA, gets nominated for Best Actress at the Oscars, and Licorice Pizza overperforms? Does she then become the frontrunner?

I wonder if MGM/UA will do extra BAFTA campaign for either Gaga or Haim so a possible win makes them stronger for Oscar run.

She has won at CCA before so I would say in a year she is frontrunning, she easily could win there. Especially after winning the biggest critics price of them all NYFCC
Imagine if Alana, Gaga and JHud all get into the Oscars lineup. Three singers and three from MGM.
