I’m actually worried for Jessica now. She’s spending the entire voting period on set while Stewart continues the most aggressive and up close and personal campaign I’ve ever witnessed.
That is not how it works. Jessica knows she has this. Others are just doing it to keep their name on the important list for future roles. That is why I said what I said yesterday, not because I hate anyone. Just seeing a lot of hype surrounding Stewart and that is nothing new for her. She has a rabid fanbase and the Media and most critics know it.

Lord how did Gaga stans keep this under the wraps. So much for best performer and little monsters dare say Gaga is a better performer than Beyoncé.
March 17, 2022 at 11:19 am #1204856159We’re not talking about Gaga again, on either side of the issue. She’s not nominated, it’s two weeks til the Oscars, let it go everyone.
March 17, 2022 at 11:23 am #1204856162The annoying part is that somehow all of this has completely stayed under the radar. All those on Twitter who slammed Gaga for campaigning too hard are actually cheering her on. I mean, all Gaga did was say a few stupid things that went viral. How is that worse than begging all your Oscar-winning friends to host industry screenings so you can get in the same room with actual voters WHILE the voting is ongoing? And after all that, somehow Stewart is still going to come away looking like the effortless queen who’s above award season politics.
The difference is watching Gaga campaign felt like watching a bad SNL skit making fun of method actors. She talked about staying in character for months (despite getting called out for having a Russian sounding accent instead of the Italian she was so desperately trying to mimic), getting drunk off water, and panicking because she thought the whole world had become a movie set (I’m not making that up). It’s true that Kristen is constant with her Q&As but she’s down to earth and has at least never been cringed at by her own peers. There’s no viral clip of her talking about feeling motherly over the child actors in Spencer or whatever the fuck Stefani would’ve come up with had she been in her place.
Granted, there might be a little bit of sexism at play since Leo’s Oscar was all but secured once he started talking about eating raw meat but I’m glad to see this kind of behavior get what it deserves.

Kristen Stewart – Best Actress (Nicole Kidman would be my alternate choice)— Christian Cortave (@CCortave24) March 17, 2022
Kristen is the overwhelming choice for Best Actress 😔 sighMarch 17, 2022 at 11:28 am #1204856168We’re not talking about Gaga again, on either side of the issue. She’s not nominated, it’s two weeks til the Oscars, let it go everyone.
Two weeks feel like an eternity.
March 17, 2022 at 11:35 am #1204856173People who were rooting for Jessica to win SAG, are now dismissing her performance as average!

Kristen is the overwhelming choice for Best Actress 😔 sighHeck if she’s the overwhelming choice she’ll win won’t she.
But she isn’t.
Kristen was “ok” in Spencer but it was much ado about nothing. I think she might have smiled once. But in fairness it might have been due to the script if there was one, and the direction. The Sunne in Splendour.
I prefer my roses whiteMarch 17, 2022 at 11:48 am #1204856200Jessica will be presenting at PGA Awards (19 March)
Penélope Cruz will be on Seth Meyers
Campaigns are being kickstarted again.
March 17, 2022 at 11:50 am #1204856206Do we think there’s any significance to NYFCC getting GDT to present the award to Gaga on Zoom, instead of someone who could attend in person? Like, why? What connection do they have with one another, besides meeting in person once at an Academy event?
I believe they also interact briefly on Twitter a while ago. I remember it’s something that Gaga praising Nightmare Alley and GDT responded. But yea last night made me believe that they could definitely have something in the future. Plus I’m sure Bradley said so many good things about LG to GDT on set.

Penelope understood the game y’all lol, she started campaigning within the voting members and now, a little more than one week before the ceremony she’s doing talk shows. Campaign queen

And I would assume that whatever she’s doing that’s public facing, Sony Pictures Classics is putting in at least double the effort behind the scenes.
March 17, 2022 at 11:58 am #1204856218I think every women in this category besides 1 was really good acting. The only one i would say was ok was Nicole’s performance in being the Ricardo’s. The acting was good of course but i have seen better this season tbh. Tessa Thompson in Passing
Joanna Scanlan in After love. Why are you reporting this post? (optional):Not now
