Looks gorgeous with this dress. I also liked the one she had on during the ceremony. I thought the colour suited her.
I had Penelope as my choice but I had a feeling Jessica Chastain would win and I think it was a deserving win.

Why are the Oscar 2022 Prediction threads still open?

March 30, 2022 at 4:14 am #1204889675Thrilled for Mawma! It was her time, and she pulled off the victory in a close race. Great acceptance speech and dress! Wish I stuck with her to the end, but the anonymous ballots persuasively convinced me to switch over to Cruz. Lesson learned! Until next year…
ReplyCopy URLMarch 30, 2022 at 5:32 am #1204889735Cruz was definitely not winning without any major nods. She may have been last.
Cruz’s film was arguably the most well-liked (or least disliked) of those nominated for Best Actress. It was clearly under-seen in the earlier part of the season as evidenced by her missing the BAFTA longlist, and voters caught up with it at just the right moment. Also, while we’ve learned not to rely too heavily on anonymous ballots, I think it’s highly unlikely that someone who performed as well on them as she did would be in last place.
ReplyCopy URLMarch 30, 2022 at 5:36 am #1204889738I was so happy when they called Chastain’s name
Me too lol and then someone prematurely announced her win when they haven’t announced it yet @MaryElizabeth 💀💀

March 30, 2022 at 3:54 pm #1204890606Wanda Sykes, I think that is how you spell it, spoke out against Will Smith. Good for her and I am proud of Jessica for getting up there and being professional after the debacle that shook everybody. I know Will received his Oscar before hand and gave his speech, but still the night was kinda ruined after that.
ReplyCopy URLMarch 30, 2022 at 7:32 pm #1204890831I don’t regret going for Cruz. I loved her performance and it added some fun. Plus her huge lead in ballots made it that much harder to bet against her since I already had her in first before. But Chastain is a lovely winner in her own right, and was also a bit of an underdog so it’s nice to see a fairytale ending for her.

This I like. She will get her second, I’m sure. Penelope is a Queen and she will be back as well.

Olivia had one of the best clips of the night. 😌
So pleased that her clip went viral. 😄
Also,
A mutual friend introduced me to Olivia Colman on Sunday night. My face went completely numb and I started shaking. I loudly said “you are the best actor in the world”. Not 100% proud of how uncool I was, but you try meeting your idol https://t.co/ZPtiAf02u9
